Accomplished, knowledgeable and versatile Health Care Professional. Dr Edward Jonsson graduated from Stellenbosch University - Medical School, whereafter he did his Internship at 2 Military Hospital in Wynberg. He went on to do his community service at primary health care level at Mfuleni CHC and Eerste River Hospital, where his focus was Emergency and Clinical medicine.

Dr Jonsson worked at the Emergency Room at Vergelegen Mediclinic, and now finds himself in Private Practice permanently. He is a big Sports enthusiast and enjoys mountain biking, surfing and spending quality time with family and friends.

Dr Jonsson aims to provide evidence based innovative healthcare solutions for his patients, where the focus is on preventative medicine - which is seen as the future of healthcare world wide. Dr Jonsson is part of the Mediclinic Medical Team that works at the Absa Cape Epic Mountain Bike race annually and also covers other big sporting event such as the Cape Town Marathon, Wines2whales etc. His love for sport has filtered through and he also focuses on general exercise and sports medicine in his practice.
